One of the wonderful things about Trolley Waffles is the caramel glaze on the outside of the waffle. But to get that great glaze the sugar needs to melt in the iron.
What do you do now? VERY IMPORTANT! UNPLUG YOUR IRON FIRST. If you just finished cooking the waffles, allow the iron to cool for 5-7 minutes. Move your iron near your sink. Pour hot water in the bottom part of your iron. Close iron. Let rest for 10-15 minutes. Pour water into sink. Wipe dry with paper towels.
If your iron has cooled. Close it and plug back in for approximately 5 minutes. Then follow instructions above.
